Often, people fail to exercise because they find that exercising is unpleasant, so they always find an excuse not to exercise. Choosing an exercise that you will enjoy means you’re more likely to do it and more likely to be successful.

But, if you’re looking for the most effective way to lose weight via exercise, I would suggest doing metabolic resistance training. This is done by performing resistance exercises in a circuit fashion, with a weight that provides a challenge. Exercises such as pull ups, squats, push ups and deadlifts are good choices for this type of workout. Simply do each exercise without a break. This will really tax your body and will cause you to burn calories for the next 24-36 hours.

The No Love Handles Diet

Don’t try to lose weight with exercise alone. Fat loss is greatly effected by your diet, food choices, and the portions that you eat.

One way to control your diet is to use a food journal. It’s pretty simple, all you need is a notebook. Then, write down everything that you eat and drink each day. At the end of the day, look back at your notes and think about alternative, lower calorie foods that might be able to substitute into your daily diet. The idea is to start replacing bad foods with good ones.

This daily habit of journaling will help you instill the right habits into your daily life. Pretty soon, you’ll see many ways to cut back on calories and make better food choices.
